It's been a few days since i came back home after spending a week in the heart of San Francisco. I came there driven by a personal quest of self discovery and a convergence of unconnected events that guided me there. It was a ritual event ran by the the shamans of modern day and some of the best practitioners of the art of piercing and firebrand, but essentially it was about the mastery of spirit. There were shamans and their apprentices, top professionals in this esoteric field of knowledge, and a few novices like myself who came for different reasons of their own, and it created a powerful confluence that elevated all of us. It brought an amazing human atmosphere of aspiration, respect, and compassion that was genuine and deep. The teachings were intense and went on daily from late morning till sunset, in a private place on a border of a homeless haven.
That is what I'd like to share with you, the impression this sanctuary city made on me - the haven sanctuary it has become. I stayed at night in a dorm in the middle of it and eventually just on a sidewalk with homeless people who offered advice and a comfort of closeness. But before settling for the night I walked all around the city like many others with a little backpack on my back, crisscrossing it from one side to the other under the street lights and in the dark alleys filled with homeless people who are everywhere there; among them many autistics and trans people as well. At night the sidewalks belong to homeless, and they size you up and recognize you as your own by some strange perception that lets you know, and they greet you when they see you as one of them.
I've seen a few strugglers but mostly they were not unhappy people. Many were in the world of their own but not depressed, mostly they were vibrant, seemingly not worried about what next, just being, living in the moment. Not intrusive, yet a bit curious, and mostly friendly, treating you with respect and compassion.
It is different in New York. Perhaps the weather makes that difference; but mostly I think it is the policing. The police in SF is not at war with you, they let you be, and it makes it easy on them and homeless as well. It is a different attitude that takes the stress away, when you know that you are safe from them and perhaps even protected. It is rare and precious.
I've thought what would happen to our people when the walls of institutions where they are kept will come down, and the locks on the doors that keep them captive will be smitten, as I see in my visions. I worried what will happen to them as they become homeless. Will they be devastated by the harsh freedom. I think not. Not in San Francisco.

Water and Light
Echolalia Production
Polar plot showing the use of the Debye series for scattering
of 0.65 µm wavelength light from a 100 µm radius water drop
http://philiplaven.com/
It so happened that from the beginning of 1980s for some 15 years, while at now defunct Bell Laboratories, I was intensely involved in processing the information obtained from the hydrophones positioned at multiple locations of Earth's oceans. The work was secret and involved digitizing the obtained analog data and applying various algorithms to make sence of the received ocean sounds, such as to determine its characteristics, sources, and locations, and also to represent it to an observer in a visually flowing manner. It made use of super computers of that time; the disributed processors specifically designed for this purpose and other super computing technology of that period. This work has been since declassified but the purpose of it is not of an essence here. The important part was the understanding that has formed in my mind in regard to what water is, and of it's amazing qualities. That is what I'd like to share here.
Oceans have an amazing quality; they listen to everything that happens, and whatever happens in it, and outside of it that reaches them, is remembered. Every single event.
The way they do it is amazing as well, they use movement to preserve the event information, and through that movement they also transmit the event occurence to everything around. This movement is ocean waves. When you drop a stone in the water, as an usual example, the wave will travel on and on, but not only on a surface, it travels concentrically in all the dimensions. This wave gets influenced by other waves from other events, but it continues and when a 1000 miles away it reaches the hydrophone, while diminished in aplitude, and masked by everything else that happened since and before, it is still there; that event is not lost, and so the one who listens may still detect it. Whales and probably many other inhabiants of the ocean do, and so did we with some help from mathematics and computers.
Similarly, the new powerfull telescopes receive light signals of events that happebed long ago far away. These telescopes use the same techniques and algorithms that are applicable to water, because the sources of light create waves as well. The light is a wave, and so we might say that light is a traveling event; it is not anymore where it was, and it will go by us and continue perhaps until the end of all the being. The birth of a 'Nova' when it reaches us many light years later, is something to behold, but it is not a recollection, it has power that may disrupt and even destroy; it is an event that continues to play itself through galaxies in its every detail and glory, long after the newborn star has matured and even died.
We don't know where the bounds of the moving light might be; we don't know if universe is boundless. But oceans are bounded by land, and when the event [the wave] reaches land it reverbarates back and travels in new direction, and eventually it would reach the same hydrophones again, and if you learn to detect and recognize it, you may see a ghost of the past ressurrected, that event is still persisting. Is it still real this event, in the same manner as the reflected light is still real, still shines and even burns? When the reverbarating ocean wave reaches you again it is like a Deja vu - the memory of the past, and yet it is also a reccurrence.
There is an interesting work by a Japanese scientist Masaru-Emoto - [http://www.masaru-emoto.net/english/water-crystal.html] - who attempted to capture the effects of different external events by freezing droplets of water, exposed to these effects, such as music palying, and other, and producing unique crystalized shapes that reflect the beauty and emotion of these events.
Why does water do it, why it transmits sounds, noises, splashes, pressure from the sky, rumblings of the deep earth, and all else; and why space transmits light; and what happens to events that reach bounds; is the entire event reflected back, or is the part of it continuing through other media and it is really unbounded?
The molecular structure of H2O resembles the shape of a human - 4 appendages, 2 hands and 2 legs; the hands are used to hold onto other molecules, the legs are being grabbed by the molecular hands of other molecules in the water.
The wave involves the movement of each molecule - compressions, vibrations, transmitted from one to another while they are all interconnected, by their appendages, the so called bonds. The amplitude of this molecular wave reflects the original energy of the event, and gradually diminished as the wave travels, Yet while it is converging towards zero amplitude, it never dissapears. Eventually it would become so small that the original vibration might be registered only on a subatomic level via movement of the molecular electrones, and in such way it would transcend the water media and would continue to perpetuate the event throughout the universe [as per famous duality of the particles].
And so we might say that oceans never loose information, and that this information is also shared with the entire universe.
But let us now look at the water drop, that rose from the ocean in the early morning when the sun rays evoked the miracle of flight. How does it happen, why some droplets of water lift off and fly into space?
The popular evaporation theory basically states that warmer water molecules jump up into the air as they rise propelled by their higher termal energy. Other theories say it's the air bubbles that rise and burst at the surface, making water molecules splash away and up from the surface. Then there might be a return effect to the sun rays hitting the surface of the water. Regardless of the explanation these molecules once in the air tend to coalesce and form water drops. Once the water drop is formed a whole new ball game begins. It is especially interesting in the presence of direct sun light.
Above is a simple schemata showing the path of a light ray through the spherical waterdrop. P2 and P3 correspond to primary and secondary rainbows; but the light continues to reverberate inside the waterdrop after p3, to p4, p5, and so on, while some light is scattered out of it. The molecular architecture of the surface of the waterdrop determines how much light may come in (p0), and how much may come out (p1,p2,p3,p4, ...).
Now begins a storytelling. When the architecture of the waterdrop allows the light to be largely trapped, due to reflective qualities of the surface architecture adapted by the waterdrop, then the energy within the waterdrop will start rising, and so it's temperature and perhaps even mass. What is happening inside this special waterdrop is depicted by the top and bottom plots of light inside the 100 and 10 µm radius waterdrops - the spectral wings made of light, beating at the light speed inside the waterdrop, propelling it upward into space and beyond. They become one - the tiny amazing creature holding the light inside it's watery body as it flies at ever increasing speed towards the stars. Inside it the waves of the ocean that it came from continue to reverberate as well, the memory of all that happened there.
I believe some waterdrops do just that; fly through space taking in the light of stars and letting it out when they wish so. After all with all the knowledge and energy that they hold wouldn't they also be intelligent?
This is a waterdrop filled with light. An amazing creature.

parked on a side of the road close to the bay stairs going down,
went for a walk, snapped pix and video - beautifull! Sunset set of pix.
Slept out of car on a hill overlooking beach out of sight and under stars. They were checking my car, I think also looking for me to chase me out, but didn't see me.
that would be NIGHT 3
- I got out in the early morning Mar 21.
4. Thursay Mar 21, driving over the 18 mile bridge over Chesapeake bay and then via alligator refuge (didn't stay there, wanted to drive but road was just sharp rocks, decided to skip) and to Kitty Hawk in South Carolina by way of R17, 158.
Kitty hawk, I think got messed up by Sandy as well, quite a lot of houses facing shore are .. It's a ghost town.
and then inland to Washington, NC (population 6000+) - decided to stay at a small campsite (Tranter's Creek Resort & Campground) - it's an experience...
and go to the library there.
LIBRARY in Washington, NC
First island here (at the library met autistic person... a young woman; they also have an autistic person working at the library, but wasn't there at a time - decided to donate the book... (see pix).
AUTISTIC PERSON
Running out of time with this loading; it's already 3PM - I need to go soon and get on a road.
Was getting late, decided to check out
Tranter's creek resort - campground,
$21 - a tiny place got a nice shot of a tree by the creek - 7.5mph rule strictly enforced by residents. Tiny cabins packed .... An an oldie place?
(that was NIGHT 4
5. Friday Mar 22,
got out late about 2pm. What was I doing there?
Drove out to Carolina beach state park, SC.
Called from the road to check the campground; they had discount for seniors.
Got there after 8, parked on the side of the road because hate was locked. A woman ranger showed up and let me in but wrote me up.
Told me to pay in morning. $15
(That was
NIGHT 5)
6. saturday Mar 23 It started to rain in the morning. Did laundry and decided to go. It was late again.
Went inland to Santee state park just off I-95 on lake Marion.
I got there late and found a beautiful spot next to lake removed from other people. Made fire and video of it. Set up tent, my mistake, had a joint, went to sleep,
That was a torrential storm that night and my tent didnt hold water.
AND POURED in the early morning,
Had to get out in the rain and bundle the tent - pretty wet and semi wet sleeping bags.
Drove out about 7:30 am in a heavy outpour. Will drive as far as I can south, maybe stopping in a library
NIGHT 6
7. Sunday March 24
Got out at 7:30am knowing rain won't end any soon
Got all wet packing the tent ,and went on.
Drove through rain leapfrogging SC
to Georgia and now at Jekyll island.
Was real warm and I went into water twice, real shallow;
Water still cold but got refreshed
Drove to check out the campsite on the northern end of the island
They want $23 and it's packed with people like sardines.
Drove out, went for a walk nearby, made video of all those driftwood!
Sent letter to Marisa.
It's 7:23pm and I think I'll try to stick here for the might.
This parking lot is a local place on the south tip.
Parked and went off on by the shore and slept in the woods/groove/barrens, etc some distance from the car and went to sleep
Was beautiful night but later the wind came real brutal, and got real cold
NIGHT 7
Got up after 7am
8. Monday, March 25
Tried to work on computer next to convention center in Jekyll island, but that's just doesn't pan out...
Decided to go.
Went to
LIBRARY. Kingsland library, GA
Took a lousy pix of a librarian with top of his head cut off
Drove to Bald point state park/forest. (need to check the name)
I guess it's Florida.
Got turned back by ranger.
Got some good pictures of sunset and the moon.
Drove back to the bridge
; some boat launch there, parked and went off by the shore and slept in a groove, nice place but the wind was cold and furious; the second day in a row, with skies as clear as it could be. How is it possible!?
The wind is rising! Cold biting wind.
NIGHT 8.
9. Tuesday. March 26
Drove down the coast, stopped in a little tiny park and napped.
This is getting yappi.
Went inland,
Drove to Crestview
Went to
LIBRARY. In Crestview. FL
Donated to A beautiful librarian in a really nice library.
Drove further inland TO BLACKWATER RIVER STATE FOREST looking for a campground, near hurricane lake.
Got close, But didn't find it in the dark.
Camped out on some log road.
The woods there are coniferous and got a bit burned at the bottoms; probably a fire, there's mostly mature trees; perhaps small ones got burned out.
That was NIGHT 9
10. Wednesday, March 27
In the morning found the lake and the campsite, was real close to it.
Nice, real nice, camp, but it's still too crowded for my taste.
Drove out not staying there,
Wanted to go a bit north to find other lakes in the park, but overshot and ended looking for way out, with GPS not working. Drove on some log roads, but eventually got out.
Got lost again trying to get to the shore, but eventually After circling who knows where ended in Perdido key state park
Went for a short run, swam, stretched on a beach, and drove out inland again.
And now going to Alabama . It's 2:20pm
Stopped in Foley, population 14900+
went to the library.
LIBRARY, in Foley, AL. - tales about autism and the book
Drove out, wanted to stop in Meaher State Park, MVI-727
But they have a really sophisticated system with a wired fence and the gate on padlock over 10 feet tall. Was too late to get in, and wouldn't want to.
Stopped nearby in some Dept. of Fisheries lot, surrounded by a groove of trees on a bank of the river/bay, parked out of sight and went for a walk.
Should have stayed there for the night, sleeping in tat groove, as it was already close to 7 pm, but decided to go on, went by I-10 past the Alabama border.
Slept in Mississippi, at the rest stop in a dark corner, the road is kinda quiet, Went in 9:30pm got up at 6:30 with dawn.
It was almost next to the refuge and in could have slept there probably in a better place 10 min away.
NIGHT 10.
11. Thursday March 28.
In mississipi drove to the
sandhill crane narional refuge -
too early, 7 am there, went on a trail on my own. These woods are amazing
Pines Almost like at home; shot video,
Didn't see cranes but saw two raccoons foraging on a bank in the swamp
mvc-735 to 757.
Continued to the shore
Gulf Port,
University in Long Beach, LIBRARY, no pix of Barbara.
Autism research project.
NO AUDIENCE WITH TIMOTHY MORSE
kept going and crossed to Lousiana,
Drove to New Orleans
Went to French quarters
Ate cray fish, drove out at dark, tired of it
The place had a lot of energy, that attracted me, but was not me,
Never really was. I was getting tired of it, and had to find a place for the night.
I had not and idea, but a direction.
WHERE DID I SLEEP. On night. 11?
NIGHT 11, 1st at truck stop, behind a camper. then woke up noisy and too much light, and moved on just as another car was going out of there. Followed it and the signs to the rest stop, needed badly, got there parked next to restrooms in huge empty lot just a few cars and campers parked here and there in a dark spots, got out to go to restroom, as a car that I followed there made a loop and came behind me. Was security guy, told me it was a handicap place. A young guy in the late night am, tired. I looked at him and said, with my hand showing the lot, - man it's an empty lot, I just need to gom to the bathroom. I'll be out of here and I looked at him in disbelief at this nonsense he's been into. He understood, I saw in his face an said, all righ man, all right, and drove off. I went in, took care of my bludder call, picked a darker spot away from the lights, drove there, parked and went to sleep.
Woke up about 7, feeling well.
Shaved and brushed my testy and drove to boat launch. It was right under the highway, and local boaters were pulling in with mostly flat bottom small fishing craft, I watched them for a while launching off and then drove off. Some were amateurs, but most were people that fish whenever they get a chance and they did things with efficiency and grace - one guy had two dogs, and they had it as a science, to the precise centimeter of space and motion. A pleasure to watch.
He caught me smiling at their motions, and understood and acknowledged - the silent communication where all 4 of us became aware of each other and joined in it, including his dogs that were so independent and yet aware of their man companion, and his awareness.
I turned and went to my car parked under the bridge and drove off. I felt good and not thinking of next.
Somewhere there was a refuge, I'll be going there. As I turned off thinking of it, the sign to it was right there. I was almost there, just a little over a mile away.
I came there for it - the sandhill cranes, I hoped I'll see them. Maybe it is the kind that was gone, from our world?
I hoped.
The road to it was curving between the woods in the early morning, just after the dawn. I pulled to the admin building, guys standing around with radios, security folk. I got out and walked over, and asked where I can find birds.
They didn't know, they were guys that work at night and were just about to leave, there was an hour before the park ranger people would show up.
There was a trail there a younger guy said, maybe there.
I went on a trail.
I was recognizing the island. It was a part of archipelago.
I made pictures because I wanted to share it, I saw raccoons on a bank going about their breakfast. First one then another. I zoomed forgetting that my zoom doesn't really work, it is just a fuzzy thing.
In was there walking around for about two hours listening looking, and then I realized that I'll not see them. It was time to go.
A map of this area as it relates to Lousiana is in order here, if I find how to take a snapshot.
And
Friday, march 29
Got to Rutherford beach at about 11 am
Stayed there till night
NIGHT ON THE BEACH - 12
in Lousiana
Saturday, march 30
Drove out from Lousiana Rutherford beach about 11 am
Ferry $1 and then some time later it's Texas.
An industrial with beautiful river and bad smells.
Here are flowers on the bank, i stopped to take a look. It's a creeper
I always liked as a child.
Camera still working.
Punched through Texas driving day and night, slept at two truck stops during night from about 9:30 pm till a 1am and the from about 4 till just before dawn
NIGHT 13 AT 2 REST TRUCK STOPS
Sunday, march 31
Dawn finds me driving towards to El Paso
I'm starting to like the country
It's a whole different deal from the leg towards Austin.
One day I'd like to spend time there...
My camera stopped working
I think sand at the Rutherford beach got in, indropped it once on a sand and it didn't want to open shudder, but then it worked. Now it is dead. I re hatched the battery, but it still doesn't open.
Got to El Paso around 11 :30 it's just 10:30 with time zone change to Rt I-10W
I decided to continue and get to Albuquerque today, but I want to leave a book in el paso
It won't be in a library. It'll be a church today.
Cathedral Parish of St. Patrick, the mother church of the Diocese of El Paso
Left Loud Hands
Looked it up on iPad I'm 3 miles away per iPad
I enter it to my phone gps and go, end up going for 12 miles ending up in some Cathedral pl on the outskirts of the city, try to go back, driving on a loop that is being repaired without exits for 7 miles, miss turn, het pushed back into the same loop back for 7 miles, turnaround and then another 7 miles to get back to the city. End up eventually by the cathedral just after the mass, people coming out, go in, kneel and prey. What did I prey for. I don't know
I think faith, I need faith.
How can I ever change this for him, if I don't have faith?
I come out, people start coming in for next mass greeting people that still at the step. I sat on a bench outside, took book and placed it in a little notch there - let it find it's way. I take a picture of it discretely with my phone and walk away and a pix of cathedral and drive out. I wish it find a way to
Peoples heart.
Just after ending and the beginning of the Mass.
a book on the bench
Drove towards new Mexico,
Entering New Mexico on 25 is a sight to behold
Mile 68 -
Stopped to fill out some 90 miles from Albuquerque at the truck stop
To fill up you have to go inside to pay. I walked in it was an I interesting place; had it's Kwan character, there was a shelf of books on a right just as you walk in and it opened like a doubled up train car with a partitioning wall in a middle" these wall wasn't solid and had openings on a window level so you could see from one side to the other somewhat. The guy was an middle aged man and I knew that place is his right away; same character of content...
I filled up came back, paid, and went to the bathroom; on a way out I looked at the books they were really interesting; there was some 80 books there I thought, maybe 8 rows and some 10 books in a row, but I didn't count it might be different. Anyway i asked him if he sells them, he said yes and I let people customers read them as well; I saw that already myself there was a woman at one of the tables lining the side wall waiting for food and reading. The place was also a diner of a kind.
I'd like to leave you a book I said. It just came out. Ok he said, and added after a short pause. I'll trade you. Take any book you like. Ok I said and went to the car and brought Loud Hands. This was better than library, it'll be read.
I gave it to him, he took it sat down and opened it.
I can take book from the shelf I asked yes he said.
My hand went and
NIGHT IN SAFE HAVEN. At a friend in Albuquerque, NM
Went to bed in am, sleep on a coach with sheets, took shower
Monday april 1 Fools day, Monday went without recollection.
Called for an appointment for my car. I need to service it before continuing further. Set it up for tuesday. Sent a message to Ian asking if we could meet on sun day. Got a reply will be meeting tuesdsy. That made me happy, I really wanted to meet him.
Went to see my friends grandchildren. His wife was watching them at his daughters house. The little girl 3 and a half recognized me, remembered me from a year ago.
Tuesday did all these things. Met ion and his family, had a nice dinner with them, met one of people in ions troop; we talked about things. Got gifted a book by ion. Remembered a guy from the truck stop and offered to trade loud hands. Ion didn't read it yet.
Reading a book written by Ian, a d enjoying it a lot - funny, deep, and thought provoking. I'm about half way in.
Thursday, went to Ian meet up at 6:30 came back real late. Drove Tiffany home and sat in a ar with her listening to her issues with mother stepfather sister witchcraft, and all else. She's thoroughly messed up with this bad spiritual craft. Her mother is a practicing medium...
Friday went with G and a senior hiking troop for a hike somewhere west of Albuquerque some hour away. It was a nice ay and a senior crew. Most were older than me. Came back around 3, worked on my notes, went to dinner with I's parents and sister. Was nice. The old man is amazing, his war stories... But I almost got overload, hardly managed to stay to the end...
Saturday, worked on my notes. Sunday same, still didn't finish, but had to go...
I'm out of Albuquerque next Sunday. What was I doing there for so long?
ON THE ROAD AGAIN
Got out of Albuquerque on Sunday april 7 just after noon. Didn't get far. Got off i40 to 412 and drove some 18 Miles south tot he Bluewater Lake State Park. Got there around 3 pm+. Didn't have change to pay ranger, he didn't have it either. Asked me to pay in the morning if I stay. Went for a walk in the woods, hills surrounding the lake, decided to stay. Slept on a shore - popped hatch.
A lot of local people there at day time and a handful at night. Paid $8 in the morning to a nice smiley middle aged native woman.
NIGHT ? April 7-8
Pulled out in the morning going back to I-40 and then towards Gullup. Went to Window Rock and Fort Defiance north of 40, but didn't stop there for long. Just drove around looking at things. Took some pictures. Went back to 40 by way of 264and 191,
Went through Painted Desert / Petrified Forest in high winds,
It was something else, the sand storm, got out and continued by 40 west, ended up in Holbrook. Wanted to go to the library but it was closed. Went to visitors center and asked for a map.
There was an interesting older guy working it. Told me that 40 to Flagstaff got closed due to high winds. Started to rain a snowstorm was coming.
Got a motel and stayed there working on my notes. Finally finished up to Texas. Entering Texas.
NIGHT APRIL 8-9
In the morning went to flagstaff, got there about noon
Went for a hike in the mountains 2.5 miles but it was up to the lookout point. Good hike. Went to library but got out.
Got out of flagstaff around 6pm - ate pizza in pizza hut, i like that pizza. On a way there was a most spectacular sunset!
Drove to the Lake Havasu, drove to the state park, there was a gate but was open, it was a self pay $20 a night, you had to put envelope into a slot on a pole there but there were no envelopes; drove through but didn't go to a campground instead drove to a state park parking lot; wasn't too bad but not great. Went to sleep at about 10 but woke up at 3 and had hard time sleeping afterwards.. Pulled out of the park - was concerned not to get caught there, didn't go looking for showers; this place is small and just concrete mostly everywhere. Instead got out of the park and drove to marina next to it and am sitting there facing the lake as the sun came out. Swallows flying all over having breakfast on insects.
NIGHT APRIL 9-10
I need to figure my next destination. And that is not trivial - do I go inland or to the shore? I think INLAND. I HAVE 20'days and need to cut in. I do want to get to Seattle, but will I? I'm missing them and him especially.
Commercial and residential infestation
To lake Isabella, 58, 395. 14, 178. What a road
Night 10-11
Lake Isabella. Facing the lake. Kids show up. Drive around the lake on sand roads, walk around; find rocky spot, swim, eat, rest, get going
To sequoia park, Kernville is special like lake placid
Go by 155, jackrabbit rd, 65, 190 to the park
Almost stopped by the lake Kaveah, but went on after checking it out and taking a few pic
Buckey campground closed ,go by narrow dirt road up find a spot slept there
With dear around
Morning drove north
Went for a walk and intonation bear, went back,

3:30 out of library
Merced county library donated loud hands
Got receipt from Tiffany Sugg. No 128699
Long way to Sacramento and Shasta lake
MERCED COUNTY LIBRARY ON
Lake
Started to Sacramento by way of 99 a lousy road congested smelly avoid it if you can
There was an accident near Lodi, got out and took 12 west through the town of Lodi, it's just like long island - same same same, upkeep- pan era an then Freeport like. Got on I-5 north all the way to Redding, it's a little better road the surroundings or at least it seemed that way.
From redding at night already -after 9 drove to Whiskeytown lake, pulled in to Oak Bottom campground, drove through looking for spot to sleep - there were many but I kept driving looking to get to the water. Eventually got to a spot where i nseemed in a dark it was the end - there were trucks, little trucks parked in slot by a bathroom building, I pulled intoma corner and slept there. In the morning - early still semi dark drove out and around and went to a boat launch and shaved there in an empty and cleaner restroom, no showers there. Walked a bit on a trail that brought to a lake that looked there a bit congested with people's structures boat kind of staff. But lake is nice surrounded by smaller green mountains, although one had a snow on top.
Drove 299 west- a beautiful road between green woods and hills, and even mountain ridge, you drive over. Stopped at a trinity creak, nice called Clear Crick.
Whiskey town wants $5 for any vehicle parked anywhere in the recreation area, but it seamed anywhere you turn it was a recreation area. The campground I stayed in - that was the first place where insaw a lot of cars like my own - people just pulling in and sleeping throughout the night. Some leaving in the morning just like I did.
But on a way there are a lot of places just of the road, like this one that says WU access, no trespassing, and a closed Gate and a brook down there behind it, and a warning that you'll be arrested if you do.
I'm just by that gate writing it. I'll pick another place without warning later when it gets warmer. It's 8:21, jump in a creek maybe after breakfast somewhere on a way.
WU stands for wilderness unlimited!
It's Saturday march 13
Drove a bit, saw a river access point, stopped , jumped in a water, washed sweaty clothes. Dried it a bit.
Saw and photographed that aquatic plant that my father used to make a floaters for me that he tied on my back like a knapsack, teaching me how to swim. They held me in a water as a swam.
I have not seen them since I was a child on Neman river.
That was Indian creek, trinity river access.
That was Douglas City 7 miles before Weaverville.
The breakfast I stopped at Marino's pizza house. Some special place for local people, some special characters I haven't seen for a while even in Adirondacks. The place is sleepy and none hurried and serves great food, eggs I think are local, coffe was good, home fries were golden and the best I've had since I left home.
In could've lived here..
Bought $69 camera at radio Chaco here
Going from here is even better, crossing trinity national forest is amazing how friendly and beatiful it is. With Shasta river next to you and you can stop in so many places and get in and swim and jumpmoff the rocks. But mountain river is cold.
This is an island a beautiful island for a few families with autistic kids to come and lodge or camp and raft they have that, it is so friendly.
Just like where I grew. I think it is the best of all the places to come to so far.
Six rivers national forest.
So to continue
I fell in love with this river. But to continue on 299 west towards coast and then on 101 north and finally I reach Ocean. Magnificent pacific ocean opened coming in and right there was a small park - Clam Beach State Campgound park where it not allowed to camp it seems. I stopped and walked to the water and touched it and tasted it and walked into it. It was not too cold, but the wind was strong again, a really strong wind. Somehow I put my hand in my left pocket and it turned outside in and a two pieces of paper flew out and the wind picked it fast and it ran it on it's edges sideways towards the dunes going right and in as I turned to watch it. It went far because dunes were far but I could see it as the sun was reflecting on the white of the paper, I marked the spot were I lost them with my foot and the direction which was the same as the wind, and then I went and walked in the water and after I came back to the same spot thinking what was it, these two little pieces of paper? I wanted to know, since I had no recollection. I walked in that direction, somewhere dunes had to stop them, and they did; it was precarious how the grass there caught it, first one caught in thicket of it and then another on a single bled of thin stalk wrapped like a banner. These were two slips of receipts for camera I bought in that little town, Weaverville.
From there I stopped few times - I had to - it was special.
Eventually I got to redwoods park and the visitor center on a left opened up and I decided to stop there And get info.
I got a map and unasked about camping. There were two of them - a tall young guy, man I should say with uneven teeth that were attractive showed me some spots for tent camping; then I asked what it costs and he was apologetic - it was $35 a night. I shook my head. Don't you have some place where you can just sleep in you car maybe I said. He looked at me and said,
Yes, there is a place where you can parkland walk to the site, let me show you, he said. It cost nothing there and there are still spots available. It was
Flint Ridge campground on Coastal drive on a northern not far from
Got to the ocean
To crescent city, elk farm or pasture not sure,
Harbor with seals , interesting restaurant classy, streets A B C
Show class structure, see pix. Business district on Sunday is dead dead dead. But got cash at ATM.
199 north by smith river, river wild!
Didn't swim, a bit cold from driving with open window, it's 50 degrees.
Probably to crater lake and then Medford in the morning to fix my car.
Changing plan, will go to Eugene
It's too late and too far from medford, and I need to be there in the early morning 7:30
So will try Eugene. North
Regarding some events that are strange.
The way things work
My moccasin is missing. I used it on a hill where I slept in flint and then in morning put under the seat as I do. There is only one now.
In figure the place took it. It was an authentic real moccasin I've got years back in Canada. Now I've got one left so I can figure how to make them right.
What they sell in stores is not the same...
Regarding my eyeglasses that are gone - that Hope woman in Holbrook took it off my neck as I was looking in her eyes negotiating my stay.
I've figured it while driving to Grants pass.
Going to Eugene it's 4:30pm
Night was spent in Elijah Bristow State park off Rt 58 which is south east of Eugene. I was going to Lowell state park - it showed on they had a campground, but they didn't and there was not a place where one could stop off the road, although all around was the country. There was no access to it.
It was getting late
I stopped at a campground for rvs but it was a zoo, I left thinking where to stop and went back to Elijah
I stopped there on a way in to go to a bathroom, in had a problem since night before, and eating too much in the morning; parkmwould be great tonstay in but it was day only with a gate that they would lock for the night. Anyway I stopped there to go to the bathroom once again. Somehow I missed it and went all the way to the end of the park circling, finally found it,went in, got out thinking what to do, sat there checking maps on iPad, then drove out thinking to go closer to the city, since I needed to be there early to fix my window.
In was locked, the ranger, mans i saw him drive by on another road as I sat there, locked the gate already, it was past the time. I was locked and nowhere to go,
Anyway night was rainy and wet, I patched my window withba garbage bag and slept there out of the way. But I didn't sleep well, inwas concerned aboutntomorrow and getting out and being caught there all at once. As well as bears since I could r lock my car. Itnrained all night non stop.
In was ar dawn and drove out, but the gate was locked. Inwasnexpecting it somewhat. I was actually quite aware subconsciously but didn't want to admit it, that's why indidnt sleep well. It said the that park opens at 8 in the morning. I had over hour and a half to wait. So I went back searching for otherbway out but there wasn't any it seemed. Inwent to the restroom the same i went to last night and shaved. Then I went back to the gate. It was already almost 7, and was working on my notes. The rain wasn't stopping. Aboutn7:15 a ranger pulled out. He saw me and stopped. He kind of was hesitating what to do. Opened a door, stepped out with one foot, but didn't go. Itnwas raining. I got out of the car and went forward to him. Then he got out too.
You locked me up man, I yelled. You locked me up for the night!
What happened he said.
Younlocked me up, i said. Interned in last night to take a crapper on a way to Eugene and got locked up.
They locked you up?! He said.
Where you parked on a pavement? He asked. Yeap, I said.
I'd have to talk too them, he said.
I apologize for that man. You had tonsit here all night!
Yes, i said, and with a broken window.
He apologized again.
I'd need to write you up he said.
Sure, I said.
He wrote my plate number and I show gym my driver licence.
He noted a bit surprised that it was kind of the same as theirs.
Eventually after apologizing again, he opened the gate and I went.
Now, tom say the truth, it worked quite well. It would've been even better if I stayed where I parked initially and didn't get written up. But then I'd not gotten out early, because where I was I couldn't see the gait from there.
Anyway, when in was parked there still in the late daylight, I saw that ranger passing on a parallel road, but he didn't see me. There were bushesnand trees in a way of his view at the point where one should have turned head, but I was stationary and perhaps he didn't even look. The place I picked was not intentional but subconsciously I always pick places like that. Out of the way, unnoticed. So it worked both ways. And it did solve the night problem, indefinitely couldn't leave a car in a crowded place, even by motel, since the window was wide open.
I drove to Eugene and got to the shop. They were super friendly, but didn't fix it, just as I expected, per my prediction model.
This prediction model that I'm developing doesn't work on probabilities,
It works on events either happening or not. Will it happen or will it not?
Probability is irrelevant in the singular case of a singular man entering into a singular situation. There is no margin for error in this case.
I knew somehow that it will not be fixed, and that is why I asked him,
Do you think you'll have parts to do it? I know almost nothing about cars.
Yes, yes he said.
Imasked if I could hang here and perhapsnuse a computer I had.
He said sure, and took me to a nice office; well set younwithnthe office he said. It was good. Some time later he came and told me that they can't fix it all the way, they needed a regulator. But they closed the window, and I could open it but had be very careful not to open it all the way as it would fall in.
And so I went and drove to the coast to cape lookout by way of Salem and r-22, and 101, I wanted to stay in a campground that night, and take a shower and relax.
Cape lookout
There is no noise of human activity, no road noises, just ocean and birds and wind touching grasses and leaves...
$15 for the night at the beach site, but no shower as they had some problem with water.
In walked, and smoked, and went on trail and then ran on a beach before night, and then as imat on a log watching the sea, I felt a bird hovering over me, I looked up. It was a huge bird, no a simple bird - a man bird, a kite - I lay on that log watching him as he came straight down towards me like a hawk, and then weeded off ad went up again and came hovering over me looking down, closer, and on again, and then away manuvering to land on the beach.
In the morning I ran on the beach east, to the rocks and a little waterfall and going back imoveshot and ran too far to where there was no road almost the end of the cape.
It was almost 1 when I pulled out and went north by coastal 101 to Astoria, but turned into the town, Warrenton, and to the Lewis and Clark stae park, all the way to the ocean,
It was a nice park, but not a right place the night.
There was an email from ceadarhurst school, from Erin secretary telling me they can't meet me.
So I went over the bridge, but before that i stopped on a small street in warren ton next to a catholic mission and placed loud hands on the doorstep.
Imtookma picture of that litlle church. I've tried a library in Salem that was closed on Monday, and all the little libraries on the way there on 101 were closed too.
So this is the way - one priest can do a lot, one true priest.
So I am going East finally via 30 to Mt Rainier.
There I slept at
The night I pulled in at dark already into the campground on the
I'm goi g home back east.
So I took 30 east and 5 north, and 12 east and it was odd going east after going west for so long all the time. And then 122 to Ike Kinswa park on the lake and the campground that I entered at night and left at dawn.
And on the way to Yakima, there is Rimrock lake and river by the road with many closed small campgrounds where you can just stop by the gate, and walk in, and if it's late at night or at dusk you can pitch tent there and as long as you get it out in the early morning I don't think anybody would bother you.
To Walla Walla on 12E
I should have stopped and found a spot for the night earlier, because I ended up tired driving late in the dark into Clarkston.
There were dark places in the city where parked cars hid probably but I thought i can use it to finish some parts and post.
Well I tookna motel and paidn45 for it and did next to nothing.
I just need to go and finish it all home.
Whatever happened and will not happen,
I'm disillusioned by the ANI AND ASAN
and it's time to go back and quick!
Just about half hour from Lewiston going east on 12 there is a rest stop that comes to the river , a good place to sleep if nothing else comes up. Quiet dark green and you can walk to the river !
Is it near slaterville?
One thing about the project
I'd like to have as one aspect of things that I find would be good for us is to have islands of the archipelago mapped (by many of us, creating an autistic guide for travel which will include places that are beneficial and friendly to autistic people and their families. Everybody is different and classification would be needed. For myself the islands must be GREEN. what I mean by that that they are also pockets of nature
So ONE requirement is NATURE.
AND IT MAY BE FURTHER CLASSIFIED
As wild nature, semi wild, integrated with people,
Bit it could be LITTLE TOWNS IN NATURE.
SEMI-urban,
urban
Cosmopolitan centers
University centers
Some of us like These environments
The purpose is DEVELOPING A MAP OF AUTISTIC ARCHIPELAGO
FOR THE PURPOSE OF AUTISTIC TRAVEL.U
THE travel that ALLOWS YOU TO EXPERIENCE THE BEAUTY OF THE LAND and stay in places that are beneficial for US
Including the development of ourselves both adults and children alike.
The ideal that I'd like to create will include the SAFE HAVENS
AND GUESTHOUSES, that are AUTISTIC.
what it means that they are places where autistic people can stop on a way and be welcomed by the people of out tribe, autistic tribe.
It is the concept that is not knew among the people of the same tribe.
I've travelled this way from relative to a friend to friends friend, and their relatives - just because of that. And we are indeed people of the same tribe.
So what a guesthouse AUTISTIC GUESTHOUSE might be?
It should be a place where you can come and maybe stay, or just
Ark your car, or van, or even camper, or perhaps even two. And the hosts - autistic hoists preferably or our allies, would be true hosts and advise of what is where and how to access these things in a best way that one an affords.
The structure of the relation would be non monetary, and not for profit,
But hosts would need to be compensated for their hospitality and expences.
And as it is true with other tribes - presents are given by both, but it is you whom travels that gives a bigger gift, and that may be in a form of money unless other preference is exprest.
This is nothing new, and is the system widely used by members of minority
Groups.
For example, I can offer hospitality for people of our tribe traveling, at my house in LB, which may include a couple of parked vehicles, and the use of the 2 guest rooms, and a bathroom and a shower for a night or few. And whatever else that I can do... As long as we all understand the rules of HOSPITALITY, which we might need to spell out.
I'd love to meet you travelers in person, with your families and friends.
Similarly here is another point in adironamcks that I establish for you.
A wild point at this time, but a place you an pull in, and be on your own, close to wilderness.
It comes with an offer from IAN to stay at his place... That was a great offer, I wish we have places and people everywhere.
So it is a guide, a living guide and also a system of support. For autistic travelers.
A project that perhaps Ian can include within his wider project.
One of them of practical value.
This is not about acceptance, by them
This is really about identifying and creating our own archipelago, for us, and by us, not separated from them but not relying on them.
It'll be to their benefit as well, as they will find out from benefiting indirectly from our travelers and learning therefore the acceptance of our people,
Not much different as it was when white people who were friendly started to travel native lands and gained acceptance as natives found it was to their benefit. We will as well.
Three devils picnic area - no gates, you park your car for the night, but sleep away from it down the river there is a nice beach where a small party can find a spot and camp out discretely, by putting tent at night and rolling it in morning, and just hanging there for a half day perhaps, and maybe even more exploring around. A small discrete party stay free.
And right from 1/4 mile further east there is a little campground that was closed, but you can park outside the gat and just walk over and hang there for the night - it's good. Discreet you be again, perhaps, since I don't know the local rule.
THE LOCAL AUTISTIC INFORMATION station, may be another aspect of it, where you can ask, maybe stop, maybe email. And find about those things.
This river is beautiful
With many state campgrounds on a way, that are currently closed but usable,
Here is river access called
Split creek river access with a trailhead over the bridge.
knife edge
The elk crossing is at the plateau, and the woods there are nicer as they are friendlier to walk around . The road seems to be going down, but the river must be starting higher
Will see ...
Hot springs. I've passed them there were 3 cars on the road on the left, it took me about half a mile tomfigure that there should be probably hot springs there indeed. That was a place I might have been waiting for. I turned around.
When I got back there were 3 people coming back. A couple in a car andna young woman with buddy in a jeep. Ingot my knapsack and went.
It was a 1,5 mile trail.
And then there was a water hole stemming, but it was right on a trail, and it said springs so I went exploring and there between trees was a large nice water hole, but when i got to it there was Bob there.
Wildharemontana.gmail.com
And rock creek rd was his recommendation. 14 miles in from 90, it's an exit after Clinton called Rock creek road. Go for 14 miles, the last 2 on a dirt road to a campsite #1. It's large section of a bend of the creek between the road and the creek is pretty wide an a great place to camp out and explore from there. Free stay for up to 14 days.
Spent a night there, made fire,
Learned about seeing everything while sitting by the fire. The hand position to shield eyes from excess light, so younsee around far without being blinded.
Also how to position hand to block smoke, to make it go around your eyes.
Also how to sit alone, two, and 3 people.
This are lessons about being in the wilderness alone, and with a friend or two at night by the fire in the land where you are a guest, not a landowner.
drizzling in the morning, went for a walk, ate breakfast in a car drove out. Was sleepy had to stop for coffee, ended up with second breakfast, under $6, 7 with a tip. Two eggs, hash browns, toast and coffee.
Driving to Helena in the morning got there by noon, interesting town 28000+. A lot of churches, even a minaret. Went to St. Helens cathedral, beautiful glass frescos inside, a nice cathedral.
Church had a lot of money then. There was time it was reach. I think that time is gone. The diocese of the county is there as well. Episcopal, Presbyterian, baptist, and probably others ....
It's a nice town.
Went to the library, great library! Asked and donated Loud Hands. Got a receipt. I'm not asking any more to have a picture.
I'm driving by 12E, Canyon Ferry Lake, has a primitive campground all the way by the lake, past the KOA RV camp, it's naked but on a water and seems to be free. Just for the note.
I'll continue on 12E for a while...
From Helena by way of 12, 287 got to 90 and decided to get to Billinngs but stop before on a river.
Got off at Columbus exit got to local Old US 10 and went Easton it looking for a spot to get to the river.
Eventually there was a turn close by the river on a dirt dirt really bad road kind off, crossed the railroad tracks over gravel, went west away from the farm and drove to the river on on a dirt road until I found a good spot in a little dip not too high, seemingly locals come there a few beer bottles, a few logs to sit on maybe fishing spot.
Put my car at the very edge with back facing river, thought I'll be ok but felt this was Friday that somebody might sow up with a girl maybe. I was there at least an hour before sunset and ate a bit, and then sat watching night come in.
I was about to go to bed when a truck came from the same direction, and went by me, in the dark slowly. It was drizzling intermittently very lightly, not bad really, just as it is now in Sheridan where I'm writing this sitting in a ar by the library.
Then after a few minutes the truck came back, very slowly, somebody got out of it with a flashlight shining at me from far walking next to the truck on a bank side. Then it got almost to me some 30-40 feet, and stopped and were shining at me. I took my flashlight and shone back at them. They stopped pointing at me. They parked there were 3 of them, they started to carry stuff down, I saw they were young, 2 guys and a girl, one guy threw wood logs not thick like arm thick down from the trunk. They were kids who came fishing and a girl with one of them. They made a big fire and a lot of commotion and I believe sared most of fish away. I don't think they had luck
They got out after 12. I watched them n the light of the fire learning how its done, also slept in between but woke up when they were leaving.
Night came
Got off at dawn, shaved by the river and washed and went on driving to Crow reservation thinking to get through, but about 25 miles in driving on dirt roads and gps not working any more i finally got to a dead end and then another one and had to turn back, ame back all the way to Billings - these whole area after i got out from the river got worse with some gas processing center i think, it smells that way, billings seemed a lousy hole, and decided to go 90 to Sheridan and eat lunch there, I was falling asleep at the wheel.
From Sheridan, now I'll go 87 south local but before buffalo I should get back on 90 east. And then figure where the next night will be.
Sheridan County Fulmer Library in Wyoming. At 1:19
Filled out donation form, left address for thank you note.
From Sheridan to Gillete on 90 but somewhere after got out on 16 unplanned actually went by then got out exit later was just 1 mile came back and took 16.
Went past Newcastle and camped out at Black Hills Nationa Forest.
It's a tiny pocket but beautiful and teaming with animals. But I didn't see elk, only tracks and droppings. Huge.
Great undisturbed night. Walked on trails there until dusk.
It's 6:45 and I'm stopped on 16 by the road looking what next.
Just before Jewel Cave Monument National Park, on a left was a trail, Saying something about the cave, i stopped there and decided to go for it. It was still real early and briskly cold. Went for about an hour and actually passed the cave without noticing, went for some time and decided to turn, as I went back I saw it from the distance, climbed in, and fell but did on second attempt. My ribs are hurting.
Then I went to jewel Dave, than to Rushmore, then badlands and now it's 5pm and I need to get to Missouri before dark.
So I'm camping out at cedar recreational area on a river left of Chemberlain, really just out of town.
Office was closed, didn't see any instructions, will deal with it as it happens.
Picked a tent spot right at the river, backed in to the bank, open hatch and now sitting looking at the water as the dusk is setting in.
But first I went a bit further trying to find a spot away from the campsite, not that it's bad. Found a spot but didn't like it, roads are black mud, and you walk in mud, this isn a fertile soil!
But it is dirty and sticks to everything, soles sides, etc.
I like colors of the river. Pic before too late.
Was too late, lights on the other side came up, pretty but not the same.
So I'm getting bold, picked the best side away from everybody a hideout of sorts by 3 large trees on the bank, and a fireplace next to a table and bench, went in and got driftwood, semi dry and some ki dli g,
. Something about the storm coming has entered my mind, from somewhere
As dark set but just before I started fire, I see a truck heading my way. Sure they come behind me on a road and s,ow down, I turn and look at them but can't see through the window in the dark, they stop, I am sitting on a bench half turned looking at them but not really seeing.
Are you fishing, finally a man says.
No, I say after a short pause and get up and start walking towards them, I see the man at a wheel.
What, I say, you not allowed to fish here? I walk straight up to the truck to his window, and looking at him.
No, he says kind of apologetically, we just want to know what you are doing, we are managing the campground.
Ah, I say, I'm looking to spend a night here, and I look straight at him smiling my crooked grin.
He looks away. Sure, he says. We'd check it in the morning says a woman next to him. I glance at her again, she was looking at me all the time, but now she turns her gaze off. They are uncomfortable. I knod, OK, I say, and wait for them to go. Then I go back, and start my fire.
It's actually not bad to have them watch my ass here kind off protected area and do as you wish.
The night was cold and at one point wind started to reach in, I got out tarp and covered my bag.
Woke up in the morning, early 6:30
Snow was everywhere including on my Turp and goi g heavy.
Time to go. I packed my stuff.
Couldn't find the key that was in my pocket, got a spare, it got to be something inside, but with the mess from mud and snow and cold and yall it's not time to look for it. I'll find it later somewhere, still it bothers me.
I drove out, in heavy snow, there was nobody on the road went back first to chamberlain to fill out, but couldn't figure out how to with this station. Was it petco? First the card had to be put different way, next it wanted me to push a start button, which was nowhere to be found.
I had to leave and drove away and then got out at the next place and filled up.
Snow was heavy and I was the only one on the road for a while, then a few cars showed up, it was messy and dangerous.
I kept going because there was nothing else to do.
Drove to Minnesota and kept driving 90 E. To Albert Lea. Stopped on a way to eat somewhere and got to a place just like I wanted.
Will donate here, and will continue driving through with the storm out of Minnesota to Onalaska, Wisconsin on Mississippi river.
Albert Lea population 17,967 - Jul 2011
Source: U.S. Census Bureau
I took a pic of the librarian but not her boss, a real nice lady in ranger clothes, I got the name of the boss but not the name of librarian whose picture I took.
Anyway Continued from Albert Lea on and on and sent a msg to Venia from the road asking if he might be by some weird chance in visconsin tonight, since I'm passing through Madison. He was and was planning to be there at 7 pm, just time for me to get there.
He suggested we meat for dinner at Weary Traveler.
Showed me Madison at night. Interesting town!
he tried to find a sleeping place at a friend, he was spending night with Amy.
It was after 10 or was it almost 11 when I drove outnof Madison on 90'E looking for a spot, just looking...
Then I see Kegonsa state park not far off. Just followed the signs off the road and got there. Nobody was there, the camp was closed but there was a parking lot dark and quiet, and I popped the hatch and slept there.
Weather still bad. Raining interminably, I have nothing to do but drive home, still decided to go local roads, after Janesville got off on R-14 and went on it for a couple of hours. Country is a mix of new England and long island, becoming a sprawl the further in went toward Chicago.
Eventually I got tired of it. Almost ate at Sammys near Dead Wood, a town before it that I don't remember, but there was a nice loop there withna family restaurant, and people in it, so I stopped for breakfast.
Never stop mat Sammys, I got stomach ake afterwards, and it wasn't tasty at all. "farmers choice" was my mistake.
Got of 14 somewhere around Engin and got on 90 again, it started to rain real bad, bad I drove through and through Past Chicago and decided tongo to the shore. Went to Indiana Dunes National Seashore off 94 to 12 to a state park. But when I got there not long after it started to rain again.
Sent an email to Doug Cline in Akron Ohio if he wants to meet me next day, that is today. Wed, April 24, it will be for lunch.
Drove through eain some 350 miles there across michigan ornrather it was Indiana - it's right below Michigan, the wayb90/80 goes.
got to akron in a dark, circled looking for the state park withna campground named Portage Lakes State Park., a weird place, got there after circling, and slept at the campground. Left at 6:30 and went to the lake where there is access. I was all marsh at the campground around the lake.
But there was an interesting tippy.
Anyway going to drive and eat breakfast.
But we need better!

What is the acceptance people are asking about?
People want to be accepted as they are, without being broken into a mold.
That is the acceptance...

NIGHT 10.

With dear around
Morning drove north
Went for a walk and intonation bear, went back,
- at 1pm driving. Out to Fresno

The mold doesn't fit.
